Im a 12th grader who has been doing tutoring on the side for more than a year now. During a session, I'll cover the child's chapter by reading through it slowly, then explaining the meanings where necessary, and then doing a little interactive quiz to see if the child has caught up on the subject. If not, no worries, I'll simply explain it again, in a different language if that's what's comfortable. I'll also be asking questions by the end of the chapter in order to make sure the child was paying attention.
